To Check Timetables  for the upcoming study period.                  

In your preferred browser,   

Enter,                  JCU timetable estate

On top banner,  Hover on  Current students

In left column,   Click on timetable and important dates      

  •  

    For the            Annual Timetable   (Start Date and lecture recesses) 

    Click on study period 1, 11, 2023 -- Study periods 1 through to study period 11 for the year. 

    This will allow you to see the second study period beneath the first when you scroll down.

    The daily timetables are only posted shortly before the start of the Study Period.

    • Dates for when your Timetable gets Posted   You will need the name of the college administering your subject ready.
    • Business, Law & Government / Arts, Society & Education / Science & Engineering
    • These are the colleges available to U3A
    • Reading under the 'Current Students' banner,
    • Click on          Enrolment                               in blue box, left hand side
    • Click on          Class Registration                 Scroll to bottom of page and check your college posting date
    • You will be checking for ‘Undergraduate Subjects’  Under your college name, as above  (Heading  reads SP 2,8,9,10,11 & Trimester)

When timetables are posted, (2-3 weeks prior to start date) check where, when & how your lecture is to be presented.

  • Return to ‘Current Student’  options on top banner (you will need to have your subject code and name ready)

    • Click on ‘Class Timetable’  in left hand blue box.
    • Click on ‘Class Timetable’ in centre box
    • Click on ‘Timetable’ for current year
    • Click on ‘Timetable’ under Student in right hand box
    • Click on ‘Subjects’ in the list on the left

(The top 3 options are for when you have all the correct details regarding your subject. ‘Refined’ subject boxes. You will not find your subject here if it is not offered in this study period.)

    • Select from the        Select options.                                    (Scrolling in this list allows for multiple subject verifications in this study period)
    • Scroll to your            Subject code and study period         XX 1111_TSV_x_SP1 (or 2 as applicable)   Leave all these selections highlighted
    • Select  -                      Teaching Week - SP 1 (or 2)      The date you require will follow 'O' Week Feb or July and may include trimester dates
    • Select -                       All week Mon - Sun
    • Select time period   All hours 7.00 am - 00.00 am
    • Type of  report, leave as Grid Type
    • Click on                    View Timetable
    • Study Time reads down the left hand side, Study Day reads along the top.
    • Click in the Lecture Box
  • Blue, for on-line  (See below,  ‘Online Method’ for online directions.)

  • Red, for on-campus (Continue reading)

  • Yellow, for workshops, (check with lecturer to attend)

    This box advises

    ONL = External (study at home online)  

            or

    Lecture 1/1 (or 2/1 which means the 2nd reading of the same lecture that week)

    = Internal and shows building, room and floor number on campus

    Note the building and room number for your next search in:

INTERACTIVE MAPS

 Click on the back arrow to return to the student selection page. At the top of the page, in the Search Box, 

Enter  Maps

Click on Search and 'Send Anyway' to return to the main JCU page. 

In the Search Box top right,  

re-enter Maps

Click on  Interactive Maps

Click on  Interactive Maps & Building Finder

In top right hand search box, enter the building number from the timetable page. The resulting white box shows an image of the building and the option to search the location of the room for your lecture.

ONLINE METHOD

Your lecturer will verify your attendance be email. Keep this handy for reference during your course. It will have your login and password for each time you attend your session and the contact details for your lecturer.

Your activity stream shows all the lectures you have requested as they roll out.

Keep your lecturer advised of your availability to ensure you continue to be presented with the lecture videos.
