How To Search for Your Subject

Using JCU Subject Search

To search for your subject, go here to the JCU Subject Search Website and follow the instruction below. You can search by keyword "just like Google" but remember to select the options displayed below for courses you can apply to.

As each selection is made, the subject list will change to reflect your parameters and is seen below the dropdown boxes. Refining your search shortens the list to scroll through. When you have selected your subject, please complete the application form found in U3A/JCU website.

How To Make an Application

Using the U3A Townsville Application Form

When submitting your JCU Application Form to U3A, the following details from JCU must be included for the request to be submitted for approval. These details can be found on the subject details page by clicking on the subject code hyperlink in your subject search.

No other details are required for your application form, but for your own reference you may find the 'Subject description' and 'Learning outcomes' and the 'Study periods' dates for the semester useful.

Please use one form per subject. Please submit application form one calendar month prior to semester start date.

For further refinements, including timetable and location, these details are provided by JCU closer to the start date for the semester, please consider checking regularly to help you become familiar with the JCU website.

Also, please remember that U3A has provided information which will help you prior to the date. (It can be quite close to the start date.)

Contact the U3A JCU coordinator with your preferred contact details if required.
