Formed in August 2017, U3A Townsville’s Science group organizes a program of guest speakers and short courses run by the members on topics in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Members of the group choose a topic then identify guest speakers and learning resources. The group launched with a course on the Stars (Astronomy), followed by a series on Mathematics, Botany and Climate Change.
